Being involved with Community Cinemas has been ‘a gas’

Simon French

In 2018 12 Buckets was fortunate to be added to the many worthy Childrens’ Charities that the Telethon Community Cinemas Program helps here in WA. It is thanks to the efforts of sponsors like Kleenheat Gas, that this great program has been going for so long.

We would like to sincerely thank everyone involved with the event, the sponsors, the volunteers at the events, and the people who turn up every year to watch their favourite movies on a warm Perth Summer evening.

We’d also like to thank Josh over at the Kleenheat Community Blog for putting together an amazing story on the event this year, and for featuring 12 Buckets on their website.

This new partnership with Initiate Australia is one way this goal can be achieved."

Future Looks Bright for 12 Buckets Young Ambassador

Melinda Tognini

Meet Rohit, 12 Buckets' second Young Ambassador for 2017. Rohit has become an integral and valued member of the 12 Buckets community, and we're rapt that, instead of saying goodbye, we have the privilege of continuing to walk alongside and partner with him as he heads off to high school. As he graduates from primary school, he is a markedly different young man than the nervous boy who first walked into the 12 Buckets room in 2014.

Goodbyes and New Beginnings at 12 Buckets

Melinda Tognini

As 2016 draws to a close, 12 Buckets will farewell a number of students as they graduate from primary school and head off to high school.

Now, money raised from our Bassendean on the Green concert will enable 12 Buckets to expand its program into high schools in 2017. This will mean that, instead of saying goodbye, we'll be able to continue walking alongside students through their teenage years.

Another new initiative is our Junior Ambassador program and it's our great delight to introduce one of our inaugural ambassadors ...
